Double hinged doors are called French doors - they are used when a larger opening is required or for a statement entry door. The two leaves meet & secure in the centre. The doors can be opened one at a time for convenience- SLIDING DOOR
A Sliding door runs horizontally along the frame, with one door sliding behind the other.
They are a great option onto a deck or pathway as the door doesn’t obstruct walkway like a hinged door
would. They can be made with a vision rail through the centre or have a full pane of glass. You can also have
fixed or opening windows on the side of a sliding door – opening windows give the option for some
ventilation without opening the door. The windows can also be opened when the door is open.
